Associate of Science in Physical Therapy Assisting

Associate of Applied Science in Allied Health

This is also a two year degree program and aims to prepare students to work in this field in any medical facility. The program focuses primarily on general healthcare practices and systems.

Graduate Certificate in Geriatric Health

This physical therapist assistant certification is for licensed practitioners who have been working for a while and need a graduate certificate to specialize in geriatrics, i.e. working with senior patients. This not only enhances your knowledge but opens up doors to new opportunities.

Associate of Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant

This program has been designed to train students on how to treat patients with physical as well as cognitive problems. This is also an entry level physical therapist assistant certification but covers broader array of skills to prepare students as OTAs at entry level.

In order to excel further in this profession, certifications are a must. However, there are different set of rules for certification and PTA programs for every state. Most states require a certificate, license or registration to practice lawfully in a medical facility. Moreover, a minimum number of continuing education courses are required to keep the license valid.
